Tanning Preparation

Before Your Tan
Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate! Using an exfoliating mitt (sold at our store) or oil free scrub, scrub your entire body. Paying special attention to dry areas like feet, knees, and elbows
Shave or wax at least 8 hours before appointment and make sure to wash the residue from your razors moisture strip off with soap.
Make sure all manicures, pedicures, facials and massages are done at least the day before your appointment. The oils used during these services will create a barrier between your skin and the tan, and will result in an uneven application.
Skip lotions, oils, perfume and deodorant the day of your appointment. We have wipes to remove any deodorant and makeup prior to.

After Your Tan
Change into a loose fitting top and bottom, no bras or tight clothing. Sweatpants, robes, dress, pajamas, flip flops and/or loose t-shirts are best! Avoid tight clothing.
Leave solution on your skin for the recommended time discussed with your technician. The cosmetic bronzers can sometimes make your fresh tan appear darker- but we promise your finished result will be exactly what you discussed with your technician.
In the first warm water rinse, completely remove all cosmetic bronzers with water and hands only. Make sure the water rinses clear.
Do not use any products on your skin for 24 hours after your tan. All of our solutions will reach final development at 24 hours.
After 24 hours, keep your skin moisturized daily. Stay away from mineral oil, AHAs, petroleum, ethanol, exfoliating and alcohol based products as these will strip your tan faster. Ask your technician for a list of safe, non-toxic products to preserve your tan and promote healthy and hydrated skin.
Apply sunscreen, safe sun care is a must! Our solutions do NOT have any SPF in them. So you will still need to protect your skin.
